I also strongly suggest reading Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain by Charles Cross. I got it for Christmas last year and I loved every page of it. Thanks Ryan!

You might want to also check out his Journals. It's just been published in paperback. It's on my wishlist for this Christmas. We'll see if I get it...

Kurt was a definite musical genius but a damaged soul. His story is bitter sweet. I return to Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero on a very regular basis. I also love their Unplugged in New York and From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah compilations.

Dirty blonde lock's you wrose so high you were a star that shimmered before so many eye's. Your voice was broken glass wrapped in velvet it seemed you hit the right note's to release agony. You wrose so high and fell so fast the shot has now echoed for a generation's past. But your message stand's true statued in time your lyrics and chords help us remind. Look, I dont like Courtney either. But we must face it he commited suicide. And I love Kurts voice. But to all you that are saying Kurt was such a genious, I sure didnt get that from his Journals. Rather I got the impression that he just a sensitive guy who was so depressed he came up with depressing lyrics. The music was good, the lyrics simply didnt make sense. Believe it.

Kurt was and is the best, I dont care what other peeps say, i love nirvana's music... kurt told how it was, MOST people didnt know what kurt was saying , but they loved his music, half the time kurt was making fun of you, but you liked his music... like he has a gun and he likes to sing along, but he dont know what it means... kurt was a genuis, that died befor his time... if kurt was alive to day, he would be on top like he was heading for when he died... I'm a sk8er that loves his music.. if i'm sk8en on my board i'm singing along to his music, its on my radio, its on my guitar, it's on my board...
