A little 80s-ish, but good. And hey, they're The Strokes.

If only The Strokes could be half as good as Good Charlotte. If only The Strokes had 1/10th the talent of Good Charlotte. If only The Strokes were worthy of being in the same ball park as Good Charlotte. Look at me, I'm making people HAPPY, Im the Magical Man from Happy Land, who lives in a gumdrop house on Lollipop L-a-a-a-ane...in case you didn't notice I was being sarcastic. |

Marc is a big Good Charlotte fan don't ya know. His musical taste is similar to that of a 12 year old girl despite the fact he's a 25 year old guy. |

Don't say that about 12 year old girls, it's so insulting! I'm a 12 year old girl and I wouldn't listen to that sort of poser crap if you paid me. |

Let's all talk about the strokes...shall we. Or hey, let's talk about mike, and how stupid he really is for dissing the greatest thing to ever happen to music, the strokes(in case your like mike and didnt realise it yet) But my god Mike! good charolette? or however you say they're name...how could one possibly compare them to the strokes. no, no, no. your wrong. Apparently your still into what has passed, the poser era. so please, do us all a faver and atleast go see the strokes live...if your smart. maybe that'll make ya' realise.

Ummm, I think you should re-read my comments. You may have missed the subtle sarcasm.
Did you stop reading before this part?:
"Look at me, I'm making people HAPPY, Im the Magical Man from Happy Land, who lives in a gumdrop house on Lollipop L-a-a-a-ane...in case you didn't notice I was being sarcastic." |

Eventually bands like Good Charlotte will die out. Its just another punk wanna be band. And thereĀ“s like a million of those.
While there is only one " The Strokes". |

Wow. You dingbats really need to get a clue. They're cheap; Like five dollars.
I believe the topic was 12:51.
I love the strokes, and I will tell you why:
1) They are masters of minimalistic, stylized composition- I like to refer to thier style as being the andy warhol of modern rock music.
2) To further strengthen point #1, they are masters of marketing. They have a flawless look going for them ON TOP of being very good looking men. anything that comes out of these guys will be cool, or, to pertain more to you joik-offs, will make the listener FEEL cool.
This song is another perfect example of these two points. Immediately they hit you with the simplest of chord progressions. Later, the use of the cars-synth-esque guitar sound over the verse is the perfect subtle change of pace that the fans needed. In short, they keep the strokes-brand song structure and throw on top a bit of seamless flavor.
